Look at the election widget

For those still making arguments that Obama is unelectable based on current polls or otherwise, please note that it currently shows Obama up 52 electoral votes over McCain.

I don't think for a minute that this result is locked in - to the contrary.  The point is that the polls move over time, sometimes dramatically, as today's widget shows.  And there is no reason to think that Obama won't be ready, willing and able to capitalize on the pro-Democratic mood in this country to beat McCain this fall.

That is all.

Indeed. I suppose it'll dishearten some of the diehards, but for most, it'll be a welcoming sign. This is showing November is ours to lose- so we can't forget that, but it's ours if we want to work hard enough to get it.

Hooray for John McCain!

Put no stock in the election widget, regardless of whether you agree with it.

I'm with you.  The point I was making is the one notedgeways made downthread.

Re: Look at the election widget (none / 0)

There are several things wrong with the widget, (WI would be a O win, and possibly a C win, MI is a likely O win and again a marginal C win as well)

But there have been many C supporters here who point to it regularly saying O can't win. Well it that is their metric, it goes from "he can't win" to she can win better... so the argument is chipped away a bit. A post primary bump will change the map even more, and a post Convention bump will make to map look very blue...

It still is very flawed.

Now the same people who have been (none / 0)

touting that as meaningful will say it's meaningless or something else nonsensical.

It's simply a snapshot and it'll take work to beat McSame and his base, the corporate media.
